Bassethound Brothers Progress

is a clear example of working light tones into a middle-tone ground. This began as the sketch above, was then transferred and painting directly with spraypaint. The light source being back-lit on this piece I chose to work more distinct lights and neutrals into the middle-ground in order to accurately set up the lighting and mood of the piece. Look for more progress on this painting soon. About 8 hours working time, the piece is roughly 24 x 30. Thanks for viewing, more tomorrow.
