Upcoming Shows and More

A portrait study that will be in an upcoming show in December, more info to come and great news for Denver Plein Air!

Prime Element Updates

As many of you may remember I worked on the cover artwork for Denvers own 3 The Hardway, who after being signed to Kamakazi Airlines (label info) has undergone a name change, and in the process I have had to quickly, and with a little bit of apprehension replace the cover painting with a digital cover-up. However, my apprehensions have no basis because I am extremely proud to know these hardworking dedicated masters of their craft will be steadily moving up in the world of music.

Congratulations to Prime Element, and visit the website where you can view some new apparel I helped design and much more, including ALLisports.com the official Dew Tour sponsors picking them up! View Clips here: Prime Element Dew Tour , #2, #3, #4

ShoeShine5

Concept imagery and final sneakers for the fifth installment of Denvers premiere sneaker head event. I also had the opportunity to complete a banner for Nike that was showcased during the event. I kept it fairly simple on the sneakers this year, and went for a more graphic streamline look. More information to come on the sneakers eventual destination to Installation in Boulder, where you can go and try them on, and all of the other sneakers from this years contest.
The banner turned out really fresh, went for a street feel but also an ethereal emotion for this ongoing event, that I am proud to be a part of in its 5th year going. Look for more on the banner as well.

Rediscovered Rembrandt on loan at DAM

A rediscovered work of Rembrandt's from his early career has been procured by the Denver Art Museum. I have yet to see this piece in person but having seen a good amount of his work during the time I studied in New York, including the staggering self-portrait above, so to say the least I am very excited to view this quaint study.

Wash Park at Sunset

The votes are in for DPAAF 2010, but before I reveal the entries that were excepted, here are process photos from the final paint out at Washington Park. I worked in Landscape 1 during college at Wash park and wanted to pay homage to my academic painting by challenging myself to fast and deliberate work at sunset.
