Tomorrow is the starting date for the fourth year of Denver's Plein Air Arts Festival hosted by GTMD, Abend Gallery,1261 Gallery, and many more. I was blessed with an honorable mention in 2009 and have my goals set to turn out even more impressive work this year. The dates are from August 14- September 15 so look for outdoor painters in many locations downtown and around the Golden Triangle taking in the light.

Process photos and installation of the mosaic portion, showing the piece from tabletop piece placement, to thin set, to grout, to painted grout, to its final resting place as the corner piece, and motion sensor holder. At nearly eight feet tall and four feet wide, for me this was a huge learning curve but a definite medium that I would like to continue to pursue. The addition to the entire mural and overall aesthetic is amazing, and we will be painting the remaining grout to color match the surrounding painted surfaces. More and more to come, stay tuned.
