today! This original illustration was created in 2008 and is one of my personal favorite cover illustrations. Painted w acrylic on board, here are some process photos, color studies, the final image and some shots of the piece framed and matted as it was leaving the studio. As a cover illustration for Insight the theme was an article concerning homeless people in Colorado who brave the elements and troubles to stay and call this state home. I felt a concept with a city blanketed figure would be an effective solution, and this cover is the final painting that I created for the equation.
