Pacifico on Draft Unveiled w Keg Art

The job of an illustrator can be so rewarding, and every now and then a job will come along that is not only exciting, but one that is under the tightest deadline imaginable. In the long run that is what we are trained to do, undertake any project no matter the obstacles and difficulties, to create our best work regardless of the specifics, this project fell into nearly all the aforementioned topics. I am going to post the artwork and a brief description and I encourage you all to look into the brand, and into a local taphouse w Pacifico draft.
I aimed to fuse both the Mexico, SoCal feel of Pacifico with its new destination, the mountain state and beyond. With this in mind I created 3 separate concepts that all melded and meshed together as a compete painting, since a cylinder has no start and no end as a traditional canvas or board would. The concepts included adventure lifestyle, and aspects of both geographic locations. With all of this in mind, I had a four day window to complete all 3 full paintings, including logos.

DPAAF City Park Progress

I realize there have not been a great deal of posts about the DPAAF this year, and that is because I am busy, double booked busy, possible even worse, but I love it, and well I am still getting out to take in the environmental live painting we know as Plein Air. Progress shots from the City Park Paint out, I have done studio work of this particular locale, but never had I taken it on in this fashion. This is about 3.5 hours working time, Dead color palette w Viridian and Van Dyke brown introduced, really enjoy this piece. More on the competition soon.

New Mural Underway

A few post back I had submitted concepts for a new mural. That mural is underway and is collecting layer upon layer of color, here are some progress shots, I began in the evening to avoid the brutal sun on this West facing wall. This is being completed entirely w Evolve premium brand spray paints, it is a nice product, still being enhanced but good. More on this mural and Evolve premium soon.

More process for the project I have posted about prior, I haven't said the name or the company because it will unveiled soon enough. I suppose its pretty obvious from the sketches, but either way more to come from this very soon, paint is being applied and I am getting a workout. Stay tuned.

Eject Sketch

Current graphic that is still in process, going to be a good one for sure, something that I grew up watching was the classic Saturday morning cartoons, and I am excited to finish this one up and show you the final.

New Projects Underway-Frozen Waves

Final value drawing for another project with a real tight deadline. This and two other concepts will be going on a different surface than usual. Stay tuned, I will post full progress shots and process of the painting in the next few days. This was worked up from a thumbnail sketch, did one comprehensive sketch before reference, and then knocked out this final pencil. I would normally take it further before laying paint down but time is ticking away. Thanks for stopping by.

Lady J and the Dollhouse Customs

This job was a super rush but the results are real nice, I was commissioned by Lady J and the Dollhouse, the VIP girls at Beta Nightclub to produce some custom gear for an upcoming event this weekend. Themed towards graff and a more old school feel, I worked up the letters based off their logo, and the style I envisioned for the outfit. Also produced the custom snapbacks to complete the outfit. Look for some modeling shots, and flicks from the event night.
